A Fresh Start Sober Living Environment provides men and women with a non-institutional aftercare environment with everything a modern day home provides.

They have 7 houses, 3 for men, 4 for women, all of the north side of Chicago, all of them at a cost of $250 per week. 

They intentionally do not list the addresses of the different houses on their website or give them out until someone completes their intake and is moving in, in an effort to protect the privacy and safety of current and future residents.

The general requirements are:

1) Twice weekly random supervised drug testing
2) Twice daily breathalyzing
3) Required 12-step or alternative recovery program meeting attendance (5 per week for the first 30 days, 4 per week thereafter) & Required Sponsorship
4) Daily house chore
6) Curfew of 11pm for the first 30 days, then midnight Sunday-Thursday, 2a.m. Friday-Saturday
