Catholic Charities philosophy for both our Mens and Womens Halfway Houses is to provide a positive living environment that offers transitional living for men and women returning to the community from inpatient substance treatment facilities. The program focuses on restoring and building health, independence, and productive lifestyles, while following the normally prescribed mutual help model of treatment. Following this model, the Community Residence program provides a substance- free environment where the residences can employ goals and objectives designed to facilitate the recovery process. The establishment and attainment of these personal objectives will allow individuals in recovery to maintain sobriety and to work toward becoming self-supporting and productive e members of our community.
