David has a contract with Tex dot and the prisoners go work for him 6 days a week and he take they checks and give each one a 100.00. He has told the prisoners that they money pay for utilities and cable. On Sunday they can’t leave or have visitors bc he has told them whoever don’t like the rules can leave. I’m hoping the state investigate him bc it’s federal funded and the prisoners are paying all his bills
2016 I searched and applied to almost every halfway house in the state of Texas. As a person with mentally handicapped issues almost none would take me except for the grace of David and Ivory Ministries aka The Lieutenant's House in Houston, Texas. Upon arrival I was treated with respect and informed of the program's rules and requirements. I accepted those terms and conditions of their program and was grateful I had the opportunity to help myself by going to work each day and participating in a substance abuse treatment program they offered. Lt. Manuel Fields, the CEO, Ms. Donna Reasonover, the COO, And Mr. Clement Brown, the Drug Treatment Counselor helped me tremendously throughout my 3 year stay with them. They helped me help myself Yes there is a work program that pays the clients a bi weekly stipend, and attendance of bi weekly substance abuse education is mandatory. The mission statement... I Believe, created by Lt. Fields, was and will always be a personal part of my life. Is the program for everyone? No. And we are told...that if we don’t like it there, we can find somewhere else to go. That may seem harsh to some, but I see it this way,.. If you express negativity, then you spread that negativity and ruin the opportunity for those that are seeking a positive change in their life. The 90 day program works if you work it. I was fortunate to be offered a staff leadership role, and it was one of the reasons I stayed so long. I successfully completed my parole without incident, was able to return to my loved ones in California, and cherish the lessons I learned from all the great people there at the Lt. House. Lt Fields has been a mentor, minister, and a great friend to me since the day I met him.
