Harmony House is a recovery house for women. Established in 2003; Harmony House is a women's alternative living facility geared toward providing its residents with a safe, drug-free environment in which to recover. It is our hope that we, the staff and supporters of the house, will be able to help you along in your transition from alcohol and/or drug addiction to a fulfilling life as a productive member of society. Our sole intent is to provide clean and affordable housing coupled with a certain degree of structure to any woman who decides that she is ready and willing to change her life for the better. What is a Halfway or Three Quarter Way House?
A three quarter way house is a supervised and structured living environment for persons reentering their communities. These houses are often referred to as a drug free residence, 12-step house, recovery residence, or clean and sober living. After completing treatment for drugs or alcohol, most clients are referred to a structured house for some time before returning home. This is an environment with curfews and rules that helps someone in the transition back to independent living. Clients may be referred to such a house or decide for themselves that they need a clean and safe place to live . So residents may come from rehabilitation, court, detox, or directly from home. Clients may stay from several weeks to well over a year while they adjust and find stability in their lifestyle. Court or probation monitoring and reporting can be a part of a house contract and is supported by staff.

Harmony House is located in striking Aventura (Miami), Florida and is in close proximity to 12-step meetings and recovery resources, shopping centers, restaurants, bus lines, and, of course, the beach. Tucked away in a semi-private, family oriented neighborhood; we are unique amongst the other halfway houses in the area. Instead of the traditional apartment style living, we find that our use of two connected homes adds to the comfortable, homey feeling that we strive to provide our residents with. We have made sure to stock the spacious and tidy houses with all the amenities of home. A washer and dryer are available on-site for your convenience and the pool will add to your enjoyment of weekends and warm summer days. Our house manager lives on the grounds and is available twenty-four hours a day.

Our salt water pool provides a great place to cool off and enjoy the sun. We have lounge chairs and and outdoor eating area.

The house barbeque is available to any resident and is often a place of impromtu meals.

We have a large patio and sunning area. Many of us have not enjoyed the sun or relaxed around a pool in a long time. Since the backyard in fenced in and the house is women only, you can have a sense of personal privacy while getting to sunbath or just decompress.

We have a community computer and printer in each house connected to high-speed internet. Wi-Fi (wireless internet) is also free to all residents; so bring your laptop.
